Public Information Requests

The Texas Public Information Act (formerly the Texas Open Records Act) Chapter 552, Texas Government Code, establishes requirements for governmental bodies to respond to written requests for access and/or reproduction of public information. The Texas Public Information Act does not require governmental bodies to create new information, perform legal research, or to answer questions. The request must ask for records or information already in existence. The North Texas Mobility Corporation will not comply with a standing request for information to be collected or prepared in the future. Please be advised that there is a charge for copies of public information in accordance with State law.

How to Submit a Request

Because the Texas Public Information Act is only activated by a written request for documents, all requests for copies of records must be in writing. Requests can be submitted in the following manner:

Submit in person: 1955 Lakeway Dr., Suite 260, Lewisville, Texas 75057

Should you choose not to use the prepared form, your request must include the following information:

Requestor’s Name

Date of incident or document in question for which you seek information
Specific name of the business or individual you are seeking information about. If you do not have specific information, then explain the facts surrounding your request that will help narrow the scope of the search.
How you would like your response sent (mailed, emailed, pick up in person).

Request for Public Information - Online Form

I, the undersigned, hereby request the custodian of the following described public records of the North Texas Mobility Corporation, to promptly produce said records for inspection and/or duplication. I understand there may be charges assessed for duplication or access to such records and the NTMC may require prepayment prior to preparation of the requested copies of such record. In making this request, I understand that NTMC is under no obligation to create a document to satisfy my request or to comply with a standing/ongoing request for information. I further understand that copies of the information will be released only in accordance with the Act, and NTMC reserves its right to seek an opinion from the Texas Attorney General with regard to the release of said information. If an Attorney General’s opinion is sought by NTMC, you will be notified in writing.
